Leadership Characteristics
- Experienced business leader who can contribute to the development of the Company's strategic direction and then define, develop and implement tactics in support of it.
- In this context, the ability to understand and drive both the "sales process" and the "value proposition" afforded to the customer.
- Individual who can effectively "create demand" for the Company's products by leading the team in business development processes based on the professional presentation of the value proposition to new and existing customers.
- Mature leader who can work across organizational boundaries to effectively organize and deploy resources to grow the Company's business and meet challenges.
- Creative, strategic thinker who can execute tactically and who can aggressively, but objectively, propose alternative solutions to what may already be in place.
Experience Profile
- Financially astute business unit manager with documented successes in P&L management at the $100+ million level in distribution, retail, or other related multi-location or multi-faceted businesses.
- Knowledge of the residential home building process, of specific products that go into this process, and of the supply chain supporting them.
- Experience is preferred in the manufacture and distribution of value-added products to the residential home building industry. However, comparable skill sets developed in the light Commercial and Industrial channels would be considered.
- Experience in budgeting and forecasting by business segment and/or geographic region.
- BS/BA in Business or related field or equivilent industry experience; MBA or other advance degree preferred
- 12+ years experience in related field requried, with minimum 5 years in key leadership position
