ACO Hardware appoints President

FARMINGTON HILLS, MI, April 18, 2006 – The Board of Directors of ACO Hardware announced today that Terry W. Shoenberger has been appointed President of the sixty-nine store retailer headquartered here. Shoenberger, 55, most recently was General Manager Retail Operations and Services for the Benjamin Moore division of Berkshire Hathaway located in Montvale, New Jersey. Prior to that, he held a number of senior level positions, including Executive Vice President and General Manager for Orscheln Farm and Home, an 88-store chain operating throughout the Midwest, and Vice President of Marketing for the Consumer Group of Agway, a 500 unit cooperative chain of both company owned and franchise stores based in Upstate New York. He holds an undergraduate degree from Ohio State University, and has completed postgraduate studies at Dowling College, Long Island, New York.
ACO Hardware is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year, growing from a single Ace Hardware franchise in the post-World War II years.
